We’re proud to be working with the City of San José on their AV pilot

Prospect Silicon Valley has been working closely with the City of San José over the past 6 months to develop a process that would enable them to pilot Autonomous Vehicle (AV) technologies. On June 1st, the City released a Request for Information (RFI) inviting companies to submit ideas on AV concepts. The goal of the initiative is to explore how the City can integrate AVs into its multi-modal transportation network and leverage AVs as a solution to its transportation challenges.

ProspectSV is excited to be working with the San José team on this important pilot by providing organizational and technical support to the City and assistance to the project teams. We are aiding in the coordination of the various stakeholder groups, the assessment of approaches to piloting technologies, and ensuring the smooth deployment of projects.

We encourage our ecosystem members to participate in the RFI process if they have technologies or other capabilities that will add value to the AV program. You can review the AV RFI and submit proposals via BidSync, number 1705-001. The direct link to the BidSync listing can be found here. The Timeline for the RFI process can be found in the RFI. Note that responses are due July 28, 2017.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformational effort that will pave the way for economic growth and a higher quality of life not just for the City of San José but for all of Silicon Valley. ProspectSV can assist you if you have questions about the AV program and how you might engage.
