Through the California Energy Commission-funded Empower Procurement Program, ProspectSV designed and delivered Technical Assistance for Fleet and Building Electrification/Decarbonization to over 25 public institutions, including cities, counties, and school districts. We focused on public institutions because they are notoriously understaffed, under-resourced, and unsure of where to start when it comes to purchasing clean distributed energy resource (DER) solutions and packages.
On the Buildings side, we worked closely with cities and counties to gather information on a subset of their buildings, including size, building use/type, equipment, and energy usage. After analyzing the buildings’ energy use intensity and equipment, we were able to provide the following to each Technical Assistance recipient: a comprehensive database template to track building data, specific recommendations for equipment replacements and key decarbonization considerations for each building analyzed, and relevant federal, state, and local funding opportunities.
ProspectSV leveraged engineering and finance experts to provide comprehensive and actionable guidance for technical assistance recipients.
